Bringing in the Sheaves

Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like the watercourses in the Negeb.
May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy.
Those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, carrying their sheaves.
Ps. 126:4-6
Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
we shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
fearing neither clouds nor winter's chilling breeze;
by and by the harvest, and the labor ended,
we shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
when our weeping's over, he will bid us welcome,
we shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.
May I be mindful of the seeds I sow, Lord. Whether sown in happiness or sadness, in health or pain, in the brightness of the day or the darkness of the night, may they bear fruit that glorifies you. Then in the fulness of time, send me forth into the harvest that I may return to you with rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves. In the Name of Jesus Christ, who taught me to pray...
