Third Sunday after Pentecost

June 18, 2023

CALL TO WORSHIP
How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!
It is like the precious oil on the head.
It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion.
For there God ordained a blessing: Life forevermore!
—Psalm 133

OPENING PRAYER
God, grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardship as a pathway to peace, taking, as Christ did, this sinful world as it is, not as we would have it, trusting that he will make all things right if we surrender to his will, that we may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with him forever in the next.
